Camilo Mejia spent six months in combat in Iraq,
then returned for a 2-week furlough to the US.
Citing moral reasons, the legality of the war and
the conduct of US troops towards Iraqi civilians
and prisoners, he refused to return to Iraq as
ordered. Mejia is currently serving a one-year
prison sentence for desertion.

The second most popular Google News query in
October was "Ashlee Simpson".
